MVR Compressor
MVR is the abbreviation of Mechanical Vapor Re-compression, which is the mature evaporation technology of abroad.
The theoretical basis of MVR is deduced from Boyle’s law, PV / T = K.
A certain quality of gas pressure * volume / temperature is constant, which means that when the volume of gas decreases and the pressure increases, the temperature of the gas will be increased immediately;
• Based on this principle, the temperature of the thin secondary steam will rise after a volume compression, so the low-pressure and low-temperature steam will become high- temperature and high-pressure steam, and then it can be used as a heat source to heat the original liquid that need to be vaporized. Therefore, the purpose of recycling steam can be achieved.
• Since this volume compression is realized by a mechanical compressor to achieve, it is named as MVR.
• MVR is the mature technology with decades of history being in the US and European markets.
• conventional evaporator requires a large amount of water to cool the heat of the secondary steam (to make it condensed), and the heat of cooling water is cooled by a cooling tower and released into the atmosphere. Not only dose this conventional way consume live steam, but waste much circulating water for cooling tower and power for pump operation. Triple-waste is the inevitable consequence.
•The secondary steam that need to be condensed can be compressed for reusing and replacing the live steel by MVR technology. By adopting MVR technology, not only does it avoid the use of live steam, but also ditch the cooling tower, so the operating cost is reduced significantly and truly environmental protection, energy-saving, water conservation and cost cutting is realized.
Summary of MVR’s Advantages：
100% recycling of secondary steam’s latent heat with no use of live steam, the energy consumption is reduced dramatically.
With the removal of circulating cooling water, the consumption of water and electricity and the maintenance cost by using a cooling tower is lowered greatly.
For heat sensitive materials, a vacuum pump can be adopted for operation under pressure close to the absolute vacuum so as to achieve the low-temperature evaporation (lowest 30℃）.（NOTE – For conventional evaporator, if the evaporation temperature lower than 50℃ is required, multipurpose evaporation is hard to be designed. And if it can be achieved, the energy consumption will be increased significantly.）
